Maxi Ahorro opens a new store in Sechura, bringing the total to 30 stores in Peru

Sechura Residents Can Now Enjoy the First Maxi Ahorro Supermarket in Their Area. Located at Jirón San Martín N° 404, the establishment opened its doors to the public on July 24th.

This store features a sales area of 310 m² and is designed to offer a competitive, attractive, and differentiated shopping experience for Peruvian families. Customers will find a wide range of perishable foods and groceries, with the assistance of 17 employees per store.

The new store is equipped with modern facilities, including air conditioning for customer comfort and an improved checkout system for faster and more efficient service. Additionally, bulk product sales will be introduced, providing more options and convenience for the residents.

"The warm reception of Maxi Ahorro in Piura motivated us to stay close to the people, offering them quality products at affordable prices. In this new store, we provide a pleasant and close experience with savings alternatives," said SMU Peru's General Manager, Patricio Llosa.

The opening of this new store is part of SMU's expansion plan, which aims to add 15 new locations in the country by 2025. With this opening, SMU, the parent company of the chain, reaches 30 stores distributed across Metropolitan Lima, Ica, Huacho, Barranca, and Piura. Of these, 24 belong to Maxi Ahorro, and 6 to Mayorsa, a format dedicated to wholesale trade.

"Maxi Ahorro's growth plan focuses on strengthening our presence in the northern region, where we are already a recognized brand. Additionally, we seek to integrate our stores harmoniously with their surroundings, contributing to the development of the community and offering solutions to Peruvians," Llosa added.

Maxi Ahorro remains committed to providing an exceptional shopping experience with quality products and affordable prices, strengthening its bond with the communities it serves.
