Our Company

The story of SMU begins in 2007, with the acquisition of Unimarc, the first of over 60 regional supermarket chains to be acquired over the following four years, thereby building a food retailer with broad geographic coverage, strategic locations, and operations in all 16 regions of Chile. Our multiformat strategy enables us to satisfy the needs of customers in different segments through our Unimarc, Alvi, Mayorista 10, and Super10 formats. We also have a growing presence in Peru, through the Mayorsa and MaxiAhorro brands.
