Alvi Mayorista—a subsidiary of SMU—has inaugurated a new store in Coronel, marking its first location in the city and its third in the Biobío Region, following existing stores in Concepción and Los Ángeles.

The new store is located at Ruta 160 km. 19 #6800, Coronel, covering 1,917 square meters with nine checkout counters available for customers. The store’s team consists of 39 employees, over 80% of whom are from the local area.

“We want to be closer to our business partners in Coronel, and that’s why we’re opening this new store to help them grow their businesses. We’re offering them an improved shopping experience, a wide product selection, and greater convenience,” said Francisco Gaete, Alvi’s Format Manager.

This is the first store opening of 2025, contributing to the company’s organic growth plan and expanding its network to 37 locations across Chile, with coverage extending from the Coquimbo Region to the Los Lagos Region.

Additionally, Alvi now offers online shopping for business owners looking to streamline their purchases through the app or website, with plans to further expand delivery coverage in 2025.

In October 2024, the Alvi Club was relaunched, introducing new and enhanced exclusive benefits for business members. Depending on their membership level (Club, Silver, Gold, or VIP), members can access better discounts, personalized shopping coupons, free training courses to develop business skills through Academia Alvi, as well as exclusive experiences and contests—such as the "Impulsa Tu Negocio" (Boost Your Business) program, which recently concluded its first edition.
